Foundation students have started playing the Boomwhackers – colourful, tuned percussion tubes. We are learning various songs that involve whacking the tubes as directed by the lyrics. They have also had fun working with the Grade 4 and 6 students who have visited in preparation for attending Kindergartens with me.
Grade 1 students are focusing on drama, with each grade working on a class play. Students are doing a wonderful job at reading their scripts and adding expression to their role. Grade Two students are continuing to impress with learning how to play the recorder. We are still working on mastering the following notes B, A and G, as played within different pieces of music. Students from Grade Six are busily planning their persuasive short movies. It will be a busy few weeks ahead to ensure the final products are completed! This week we had a visit to Deep Creek Preschool, the following students attended with Mr. Roberts and myself – Ruby, Kalise, Sarah and Ella. The students did a fantastic job and I hope they found the experience both fun and rewarding. Next week, we are off to Lower Templestowe Preschool!
