2020
In Term 1, the Grade 2-6 choir started up again, with over 100 voices! They are looking forward to performing in the future months, once large group gatherings are allowed again! Term 1 also saw the creation of a new competitive choir, Vivace Voices, with a select group of students from Grade 3 and 4. They are set to perform in eisteddfods and concerts this year, when restrictions are lifted!
2019
Mrs Daly is looking forward to hearing all those beautiful voices again at the start of Term 4, in preparation for our Christmas Concert.
2018
Choir has commenced for Term 2! Students will rehearse every Tuesday lunchtime with Mrs Daly. We are hoping to perform for the first time this year at the next assembly, Wednesday 9th May.
Choir have been sensational to rehearse with this term! They have all worked very hard to learn new songs in a short time to meet performance deadlines and each time they have all done a fantastic job!
At assembly on Wednesday 9th May, choir performed an edited version of “The Greatest Showman” cut with “A Million Dreams” both from the movie ‘The Greatest Showman”. They again performed this song along with “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban at our Education Week Open Night on Wednesday 23rd May.
Thank you to the families for supporting and encouraging their child/children to participate and make the commitment to be a part of the Choir.
Choir performed magnificently at the inaugural TPPS Christmas Concert on Wednesday 12th December. It was a warm evening and the rain stayed away, enabling everyone to enjoy our performances outside on the artificial turf.
2017
In the 2017 school year, Choir was conducted during Term 1. Due to the level of interest from the students, a Junior Choir for Grades 2-3 and a Senior Choir for Grades 4-6 were established. Senior and Junior Choirs had their debut performance for 2017 at assembly on Wednesday 22nd March. All students did an amazing job!
During Term 4 2017, both our Junior and Senior Choirs were invited to perform at The Salvation Army Community Christmas Concert in Doncaster on Sunday 3rd December. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to sing together at an event within our wider school community and one they seemed to thoroughly enjoy.
On Wednesday 20th December 2017, our Junior Choir performed Christmas songs and carols to some residents at Emerald Terrace Aged Care Facility in Templestowe. It certainly was enjoyable to spread some festive cheer around!
2016
During Term 4 2016, a Grade 2 to 5 Choir commenced in a flurry of excitement! Many students were interested, and they enjoyed the addition to our lunchtime clubs and Performing Arts program.
